Wine and Dine Around the World: Food & Wine Festival 2014

2014 Epcot Food & Wine Festival

2014 Epcot Food & Wine Festival

Epcot’s Food & Wine Festival is possibly the most awesome of the Disney festivals. I haven’t been to Food & Wine since leaving Orlando in 2009 and really couldn’t wait to go again. The best part being that I was going to be spending the day with friends – what a better way to catch up with friends than to drink and eat your way around the world?

Our trip:

Stop 1: Hawaii  Food: Pork sliders with sewed and sour Dole paired with Kona Brewing Company, Big Wave Golden Ale

Insert Break – The break consisted of rides! TestTrack, Finding Nemo (MY FAV!!), and Captain EO (very awesome and a must do before it goes away – talk about going back in time to a young Michael Jackson and young George Lucas!) The eating and drinking then resumed…

Pork belly - Best dish of the day

Pork belly – Best dish of the day

The overall favorite of the day was the Pork belly from Brazil – it was the perfect combo of fat and meat and crispy – it paired very well with the sangria from Morocco. The second favorite was the filet mignon from Canada, followed closely by the short ribs from France. It was a great day and, considering I am now a Disney Annual Pass Holder, I look forward to more Disney magic in my future.
